The vision
The owners wanted something the Smokies had never seen — not a cabin, a lodge. A building that could host a family reunion, a corporate retreat, and a church group and feel purpose-built for each. The brief was: 23,000 square feet, every amenity under one roof, elevator to every floor, and a skybridge into the trees.
The build
Engineering a structure of this scale on Bluff Mountain required solutions you don't find in standard residential construction: the elevator shaft, the indoor pool structure, the skybridge engineering, the hidden game rooms behind secret doors. Details to be filled in from the builder interview.
The details
The details are what make Excalibur a press story: a waterfall on the putt-putt course, a beach-entry pool inside a mountain lodge, two game rooms you have to find. New to the rental market March 2025.
